Did you know that veterans are more politically active, volunteer more hours, donate more money to organizations for public good and are more involved in our communities and neighborhoods, than those who have not served?
These facts were highlighted in a recent study conducted by three organizations, The Mission Continues, the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America and the National Conference on Citizenship. These organizations collaborated to produce the 4th survey and measurement of veterans civic and community involvement. 2021-Veterans-CHI-FINAL.pdf (ncoc.org). The report was focused on post-9/11 veterans who tend to be younger than 50. However, earlier surveys found similar results for larger groups of veterans.
