Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Policy

Women Veterans Alliance (WVA) is dedicated to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization and the communities we serve. We believe that every individual, regardless of age, ancestry, disability, national or ethnic origin, race, religious belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, political belief, veteran status, socioeconomic background, or any other status protected by applicable law, deserves equal opportunities and treatment.

Our commitment to DEI extends across all aspects of our organization, including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, compensation, and volunteer engagement. We recognize and value the unique perspectives, experiences, and contributions that individuals from diverse backgrounds bring to our organization, and we strive to create an inclusive environment where all voices are heard, respected, and valued.

WVA is firmly opposed to all forms of discrimination, harassment, and prejudice, and we are committed to taking proactive measures to prevent and address any instances of discrimination or inequity within our organization. We encourage open dialogue, education, and training to promote awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion issues, and we are dedicated to continuously improving our DEI initiatives to ensure that they reflect the evolving needs and priorities of our members.

By upholding the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our operations, WVA seeks to create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to our shared mission of empowering women veterans.
