At Women Veterans Giving, we’re proud to reflect on the incredible success of our Causemetics for Heroes program in 2024. This initiative has grown into a heartfelt tradition, reminding military-connected women that they are seen, valued, and appreciated.
A Year of Impact
In 2024, we distributed over 1000 Causemetics for Heroes bags to women with ties to the military. These thoughtfully curated bags, filled with self-care and beauty items, serve as a small but meaningful gesture of gratitude for their service and sacrifices. Each bag is designed to uplift and empower, celebrating the strength and resilience of these remarkable women.
Reaching Women Near and Far
Our outreach expanded far and wide this year, with bags distributed at events and locations both local and international. Some of the key locations included:
- Beale Air Force Base Commissary
- Travis Air Force Base Exchange
- McClellan Commissary
- Veterans Day Parade in Sacramento, CA
- U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria in Germany
From bustling commissaries to vibrant community events, each interaction was a moment to connect, honor, and inspire.
Why It Matters
The Causemetics for Heroes program isn’t just about distributing bags; it’s about fostering a sense of community and appreciation. For many military-connected women, recognition and care can often be overlooked. This program serves as a reminder that their contributions and sacrifices are deeply valued.
Gratitude for Our Supporters
This impactful program would not be possible without the support of our volunteers, donors, and partners. Whether through donating products, volunteering time, or helping spread the word, your contributions make a difference. A special thank you to the Northern California SBA for volunteering and helping us reach so many deserving women this year. Together, we’re showing military-connected women that they are not alone and that their service matters.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate this year’s success, we’re already looking forward to growing the program in 2025. With your continued support, we aim to reach even more military-connected women and make an even greater impact.
