Civic Leadership Engagement Roadmap – Applications Open

January 18, 2024

Applications are being accepted through January 22nd!

The Civic Leadership Engagement Roadmap (CLER) is an experiential, three-month, self-paced leadership program that takes you from having general civic knowledge to becoming a civic leader.

CLER is designed to help emerging and aspiring women leaders expand their impact through civic engagement. Our innovative, action-oriented curriculum is designed to inform, prepare, and build the next generation of community leaders.

The CLER curriculum features one-on-one coaching, mastermind peer groups, networking opportunities, and curated activities designed to help you build connections with local policy leaders and decision-makers. CLER is an opportunity for you to learn how to take intentional actions to become a more impactful citizen and connect with other civic-minded women representing a diverse range of business experiences, backgrounds, and community involvement.

As The Policy Circle’s Civic Leadership Engagement Roadmap (CLER) program enters its fourth year, boasting a remarkable achievement of over 150 graduates spanning 30 states, the impact of CLER alumni is undeniable. These graduates have demonstrated exceptional commitment by spearheading local policy initiatives, assuming pivotal roles on school boards, and earning appointments from governors to contribute to state boards and commissions.

Applications are now being accepted for the following CLER courses:

• CLER 1.0: Founding Principles & Local Government will take participants through a deep dive into our nation’s founding principles and their local government.

CLER: Education will provide participants with the tools and information needed to become impactful community education advocates.

There is no prerequisite to take part in either course, so applicants are encouraged to select the one that best aligns with their leadership journey. Space is limited, and applications are being accepted through January 22nd!

The program fee for CLER is $300, and more details about the program can be found here. Limited full scholarships are available for this program; please get in touch with Beth McQueen, The Policy Circle’s Membership Engagement Manager, at bmcqueen@thepolicycircle.org to request an Award Application.
