One of the most meaningful (and often overlooked) benefits available to veterans is access to our nation’s public lands, completely free.
If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting national parks, hiking scenic trails, or simply spending more time outdoors, the Military Lifetime Pass through Recreation.gov makes that possible.
What Is the Military Lifetime Pass?
The Military Lifetime Pass is part of the America the Beautiful interagency pass program, providing free lifetime access to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites across the country.
This includes:
- National parks
- Wildlife refuges
- National forests
- Bureau of Land Management lands
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sites
Whether it’s a quiet solo retreat or a family adventure, this pass opens the door to some of the most beautiful places in the United States.
