First, I want to thank all of you who participated in my school project. It truly was an honor and pleasure speaking to each one of you, and I value your incredible insight and honesty. Although this was just a school requirement, my hope is that this project can, at the very least, be helpful to the VA Sepulveda in Southern California where I did my Master of Social Work student internship this school year. I have attached the poster board that I had to submit to my school. Although I wanted to include my actual essay for you all (which contains a lot more information and quotes), I am unable to do so at this time.
I truly hope that these results help more than just those at VA Sepulveda. If there are any questions, concerns, or anything else, please feel free to reach me at my school email: firstname.lastname@example.org. I am graduating this May, and I believe my school email may only be active until mid May.
I hope this finds you all well and healthy. It was so easy to see with the 14 female Veterans that I interviewed that they are such strong and resilient women–and I know that these same characteristics are embodied by all of you female Veterans. My desire is to work with the military population, and I pray that I am able to serve you all in some way throughout my life. Thank you so much for your service.
