Are you a woman student veteran ready to take the next step in your academic, personal, and professional journey? Focus Forward Fellowship Research (FFFR) is a unique opportunity to grow professionally and contribute to research that supports other women veterans in higher ed. It builds on a nationally recognized professional development and mentoring program and is designed to analyze and recommend best practices to support women student veterans. We will study the impact of the Fellowship and share how specific actions and interventions lead to outcomes that empower participants to thrive both academically and professionally as they transition into civilian careers. FFFR is designed to identify effective strategies that improve academic and professional efficacy for women student veterans and service members.

Fellows will:

  • Build a community of support;
  • Access corporate mentors to develop new career skills;
  • Understand individual strengths and how to maximize those strengths;
  • Identify strategies and resources to increase connections and success on campus;
  • Gain confidence in communication and problem-solving;
  • Develop skills to help foster academic and career goals.
