If you use the Department of Defense’s ID Card Office Online to renew your military ID card, request a family member ID card, or update your information, there’s an important change to know.
The DoD has begun transitioning from DS Logon to myAuth for secure identity verification. Since DS Logon will be retired by the end of the fiscal year, military members, retirees, family members, and survivors who access ID Card Office Online will now need to create a myAuth account if they haven’t already. Existing DS Logon credentials can be used during the setup process to verify your identity, and CAC holders can also use their Common Access Card.
This change is part of a broader transition that will eventually include several TRICARE and Military Health System websites.
If you manage your military benefits online, now is a great time to set up your myAuth account so you’re ready when you need it.
