Senior Education and Employment Specialist
Job Summary

The Senior Outreach Specialist will develop, adapt, and implement effective evidence-informed strategies to meaningfully address the important needs of military and veteran families in and beyond Indiana, with a particular focus on higher education and women student veterans, while ensuring that all projects are executed with excellent technical integrity and cost-effectiveness. They will effectively supervise and coordinate members of the project team and work effectively with internal and external partners, as well as make meaningful contributions to the evaluation and documentation of project impact for internal and external audiences and contribute to project sustainability.

Required:

Masters in higher education administration, organizational development, student services, social work, community psychology, or related field.
Academic training and/or professional experience must be relevant to both the general and the specific responsibilities noted below.
Four years of work experience in one or more of the following areas: developing and delivering educational or prevention programs to professional staff or other adult learners, conducting directed literature searches and creating written summaries, and interpreting charts, tables and related graphic depictions of data; Building relationships and partnering with other organizations to achieve goals, including grant writing to support such efforts.
Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
Able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Able to engage in strategic thinking, constructive problem solving, build partners and allies among diverse constituencies.
Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, including strong writing, public speaking, training and facilitation skills.
Able to identify needs and develop and test evidence-based programs related to the position’s responsibility, prepare and interpret reports and grants, and to use computer technology to prepare and deliver presentations, analyze and retrieve data, prepare documents, manage email and internet applications.
Must be willing and able to travel as needed within and beyond Indiana.
