The goal of the course is to train middle skilled workers for the rapidly growing number of careers that incorporate 3D Printing/advanced manufacturing technologies, such as:
- MakerSpace Manager
- 3D Model Designer ● Rapid Prototype Developer ● 3D Printer Operator ● 3D Printing Trainer ● 3D Printer Service Technician ● 3D Design and Printing Paraeducator ● Retail 3D Printing Operator (stores and corporate/community events) ● Sales – Advanced Manufacturing Equipment/Software Sales ● Consulting ● Customer Support
The MakerSpace Manager Certificate Program grew out of a collaboration between 3D Veterans and Google.org, America Makes and the VA’s Center of Innovation to provide Veterans with technical training in 3D printing and design skills to accelerate assistive device designs to market and provide certification for emerging technology careers such as 3D Printing.
five (5) free tuition scholarships for Veterans to take Foothill College’s two (2) week (8am-4pm, M-F) MakerSpace Coordinator Certification course.
