A Message from Melissa Washington
What a life changing experience for all of us these past 8 months. In 2019, I planned for 2020 to be "my year". Things have not gone fully as planned and there have been some good things that have come from all of this.
This weekend I would have been in Las Vegas with a lot of our sisters for our 6th Annual Women Veterans Alliance Unconference. With COVID we rescheduled to October 8-10 2021, Tropicana Las Vegas (hope to see you then). During our Unconference we award the Women Veterans Giving Melissa Washington Small Business Award and over the last 2 years we have awarded $7,500 to 3 women veteran business owners.
We were not going to let this pandemic stop us from giving this award! Now more than ever its important for us to help our small businesses and nonprofits. This Saturday night Oct 24th at 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern we are going to give $3,500 to one our 5 finalists. Tune in and watch to see who will receive this award. Register here I am so excited!!!!

It is a truly first of its kind statue symbolizing the strength, capabilities, courage, and compassion of a dog handler and her dog.
They want all military women in the jobs they do to see themselves in this amazing sculpture by Susan Bahary.
