| Applications for the 2025 cohorts are open now! For the first time, both our residential and virtual cohorts will take place during the summer. This new schedule aligns with academic calendars and streamlines recruitment and implementation, ensuring we can reach more women while continuing to provide an exceptional experience. Each cohort will bring together approximately 20 women student veterans and active-duty service members. As you know, the journey begins with an intensive, week-long experience—either in-person or online—designed to develop skills, build confidence, and create actionable plans for academic and professional success. Fellows will then stay connected through a robust online community for 12 months, strengthening their network and continuing their growth. Please note: All applications must be completed by 11:59 p.m. EST on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Do you know someone who would be a great fit? Upcoming Info Session
To help potential applicants learn more about the Focus Forward Fellowship, MFRI will be hosting a virtual info session. This session is designed for women student veterans and service members who may be interested in applying, as well as university representatives who want to learn more to share with their students. During the session, they’ll hear directly from our team, gain a deeper understanding of the program, and have their questions answered in real time.

The Focus Forward Fellowship is a nationally competitive professional development and networking program to assist women student veterans and active-duty service members excel on their home campus and in their civilian careers.
Supported by a cadre of mentors who are professionals and several of whom are women veterans, Fellows will engage in program activities designed to deepen self-knowledge, expand academic and professional networks, and promote academic persistence and success.
