Seeking Women Veterans deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF)

I am a doctoral student under the direction of Dr. Jon Cabiria in the College of Doctoral Studies at Grand Canyon University. My name is Rachel Satterwhite and I am doing research on the lived experiences of female veterans who were deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF).

I am looking for women that meet these conditions:

  • Been a member of the military
  • Deployed during OIF/OEF
  • Were in combat
  • Working full-time 
  • Be at least 36 years old

You cannot be in this study if:

  • Male veteran
  • Civilian
  • Not deployed during OIF/OEF
  • Not in combat
  • Not working full-time 
  • Younger than 36 years old

The activities for this research project will include:

  • Interview through Zoom Video Conferencing – up to 1.5 hours (participants may skip questions)
  • Follow up Interview through Zoom Video Conferencing – up to .5 hours as needed for further insight

You may choose to take part in this study or not.

All data in this study will be stored in a locked filing cabinet. All paper data will be shredded and/or burned. All electronic data will be wiped clean through re-formatting the disk. The disk will then be broken and disposed of. Paper and electronic data will be disposed of singly.
