The Women Veterans Alliance proudly hosted another successful Women Veterans Engage (WVE) 2026, bringing together women veterans, military-connected professionals, organizations, and supporters from across the country for a day of inspiration, connection, and empowerment.
What began as a vision to unite women veterans regardless of location has grown into a nationwide movement. This year, more than 700 attendees participated both in person and online, creating opportunities to learn, connect, and strengthen communities nationwide.
A Growing National Impact
Women Veterans Engage continues to demonstrate the power of collaboration and community. This year’s event included:
- 700+ attendees participating virtually and in person
- 15 host locations across 9 states
- 23 community partners supporting local engagement
- Meaningful opportunities for networking, professional development, and personal growth
Whether joining from a local host site or participating online, attendees became part of a vibrant community dedicated to helping women veterans thrive.
An Inspiring Keynote Experience
A highlight of this year’s event was our keynote presentation by Shelly Rood, whose innovative approach to leadership, personal growth, and self-discovery inspired attendees across the country.
Shelly introduced participants to the Wildflower Assessment, a powerful tool designed to help individuals better understand their strengths, communication styles, and leadership potential. Through engaging stories and practical insights, attendees gained valuable takeaways they can apply in their personal and professional lives.

Building Community Through Connection
One of the most valuable aspects of Women Veterans Engage is the opportunity to create lasting relationships. From career conversations and business networking to peer support and community engagement, attendees consistently share that the connections they make are among the most meaningful outcomes of the event.
Women veterans often face unique challenges during and after military service. By creating spaces where women can learn from one another, share experiences, and access resources, we strengthen the entire veteran community.
Thank You to Our National Sponsors
Women Veterans Alliance extends our sincere gratitude to our 2026 National Sponsors whose support helped make this event possible:
- Delta Dental
- Veteran Benefits Guide
- American Humane Society Pups4Patriots
- Flyte by Pelvita
- U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Digital Health Office
Their commitment to supporting veterans and military families helped ensure that women veterans had access to valuable resources, education, and opportunities throughout the event.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate another successful year of Women Veterans Engage, we remain committed to building opportunities for women veterans to connect, learn, and grow together.
The impact of Women Veterans Engage extends far beyond a single day. It is reflected in the relationships formed, the resources shared, the collaborations created, and the renewed sense of community experienced by attendees across the country.
